January 13th 2015: Making journals

This was on the importance of keeping a journal. They learned about President Spencer W. Kimball and his testimony on journals. He had 33 big black binders full of journals. He expressed the importance of journals in the following quote

"I promise you that if you will keep your journals and records, they will indeed be a source of great inspiration to your families, to your children, your grandchildren, and others, on through the generations. Each of us is important to those who are near and dear to us—and as our posterity read of our life’s experiences, they, too, will come to know and love us. And in that glorious day when our families are together in the eternities, we will already be acquainted." -Spencer W. Kimball.

The girls were each given a composition not book to decorate. We had sticker, colorful paper and markers to make each journal unique to them. It also included a envelope wit ideas on what to write each day for inspiration.  These girls are so creative and fun. They all created beautiful journals to write in and share for themselves and future posterity.
